Historic Site Preservation with Ground Stabilization.
A process to support delicate structures utilizing geopolymers.
Historic sites benefit from our geo-polymer injection methods that do not require digging and allow work to be completed in days rather than weeks in most locations. High strength injectable polymers can densify soils, strengthen foundations, and often be fine tuned to provide some lift as needed.
Historic site structures may have varying needs. Many older buildings may have foundations that would not be up to today’s standards. In some cases time itself has simply undermined the stability or the foundation. Utilizing URETEK Deep Injection® (DI) we are able to target the proper areas to inject stabilizing structural geo-polymers to densify and often lift in the necessary areas. The process is carefully monitored utilizing lasers and other means to ensure adequate but not excessive movement.
There may be cases where it is the floor or concrete slab that needs to be addressed. In these cases the URETEK Method® of injecting structural geo-polymers can be used to fill any voids, stabilize, and raise sunken slabs. Each historic site will have unique differences and our team of skilled technicians is ready to help.
